Dzogchen Fellowship operates a Scholarship Fund to assist those having limited resources to attend retreats. This Fund is dedicated to the Big Love of our dear departed Dharma Brother Richard Beatie. We ask that you consider donating to this very worthwhile cause, if you can. By sponsoring retreat at any level, you enable us to pay for accommodations and food, and consequently offer attendance at a reduced rate, for those who might otherwise be unable to come. Your gift may also help the Fellowship to meet the other direct and indirect costs of retreat applicable to the relevant retreatants.
For example:
$165 pays for one day of residential retreat;
$495 covers a whole long-weekend residential retreat;
$825 covers Spring Retreat (six days, five nights) for one retreatant;
but any amount you care to give is very much welcome and appreciated!
You can at any time use the form below, or the regular Donate form (marking your contribution for "Scholarships"), to support this wonderful activity together.
Yours is a two-fold gift: it is a gift to others less fortunate, who are thereby able to enjoy the blessings of retreat. However, it is also a gift to yourself since generosity is itself a powerful spiritual practice that opens the heart, and fosters joy in both giver and receiver.
For thousands of years, kind sponsors have supported others' retreats, and thus - it is said - accumulated immeasurable merit themselves.Thank you for joining together to support and practice these priceless teachings, and for enabling others also to receive and practice them. Together we constitute the latest link in a 2,500 year-long transmission which has benefited countless millions of people, and through us will hopefully benefit many more.
Thank you.
