Sunday Morning Group Meditation Practice
and
Book Study
in Orange County
At the request of several in the group, this weekly session will explore different as
pects
of
practice from those covered in the regular Tuesday evening meetings
.
As usual, we will practice in the Dzogchen tradition of Nyoshul Khenpo Rinpoche and Lama Surya Das.
This session is a wonderful opportunity for chanting and meditation in a group setting, and to connect with this timeless contemplative tradition
in a deeper way through study of texts from this lineage of teachers.
Part of the time will be spent in guided meditation exploring the Buddha Yoga principle. During the remainder, there will be teaching and interactive study of Lama Surya Das's book on the Ten Transcendental Virtues: "Buddha is as Buddha Does".
It is entirely appropriate for those new to meditation, as well as those more experienced
; as well as for those who love to chant - or even those who prefer not.
This activity is offered free of charge, and is open to all.
If you have a copy of Buddha Is As Buddha Does, please bring it with you. This week we will be focusing on the Introduction and Chapter One.
