This Dzogchen song was written for his dear mother and his students by our teacher's teacher, the renowned yogi Nyoshul Khenpo Rinpoche. He wrote it while living and teaching in Dordogne, at the Three Year Retreat Centre of His Holiness Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche in the 1980s.
The Mirror of Essential Points represents Khen Rinpoche's "advice from the core of his heart", the "purest of the pure essence" of his seminal teachings.
It can be found in Natural Great Perfection: Dzogchen Teachings and Vajra Songs, by Nyoshul Khenpo Rinpoche and Lama Surya Das.
Lama Daniela and Lama Christopher will guide us gently through this lyrical exposition of Emptiness, a central and often misunderstood principle of Buddhism.
This series is anticipated to run for four weeks and is open to all levels of experience. Each session will be held live on Zoom and include a dharma teaching, discussion, and short guided meditation. There is no charge for these heartfelt teachings, and nobody should be deterred by lack of funds; but a donation of $45 for the series or $15 per session is suggested, in support the activities of Dzogchen West.
