Blossom new friendships, connections and support for meditation practice by joining in the fun at a Dzogchen Center Southern California Pot-Luck dinner shared together, right before our regular weekly meditation practice on February 7th. We will have an hour and a half to meet new people, get to know each other better and generally have a chance to practice the gift of gab with one another… and EAT some delicious food!
We're trying to keep the dinner simple, asking people to bring 1 small dish if they can. If you can't or if it isn't convenient, don't let that keep you away; there's alway plenty of food to go around.
This is a wonderful opportunity for newcomers just wanting to pop in, meet people, learn more and ask questions -- as well as for those who have been attending the local practice groups regularly.
Normally we usually settle into practice right away and have only limited time to chat together causally during the break. We hope you'll be able to join us for some merrymaking ahead of practice that evening. Community is an important and joyful aspect of life, and a tremendous support for our personal spiritual practice. As the Buddha said, "Only the snow lions among us can go into the mountains and achieve enlightenment alone." We hope to see you then!
There is no kitchen available at the venue -- just a sink and long counter top with a few electrical outlets. Please bring your food ready to serve. Again, feel free to attend even without bringing food.
